Lack of Awareness Leads to Exclusion

Stereotypes, biases, and low expectations still prevent many people with learning disabilities and dementia from being encouraged to take part in music. In some cases, as highlighted in a recent BBC report, a lack of awareness can go even further—resulting in people being denied access to venues altogether.

This is why our inclusive club night, Involve, matters. It creates a space where everyone is welcome, without judgement or barriers. Our guests are free to be themselves, to connect with others, and to enjoy music in a way that feels right for them.

Because music should be for everyone.
